Napoli Pizza – Review

As our time in Taipei runs short, I’ve not been able to get to as many pizza places as I wanted. We managed to stop in to Napoli for lunch.
This particular Napoli (part of a chain) is just east of Daan Park on Heping Rd. Their menu doesn’t advertise any “custom†pizzas, which could lead one to believe that you can only get what’s on the menu. Luckily, this isn’t the case, and I was able to have an “Italian Sausage†pizza.
It turns out “Italian Sausage†looks like pepperoni and tastes like salami. Near enough.
The review pizza was 9“, which I thought was an odd unit of measurement for a metric country and the pizza is pan-style. The crust reminded me of Pizza Hut pan pizza, although not quite as flavorful. I’m still not really enamored of pan pizza crust, but for what it was it wasn’t too bad.
The sausage was an acceptable salami and the cheese was… still not quite right. They just don’t seem to have the pizza cheese right in Taiwan. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t quite right.
Taken as a whole, the pizza was acceptable under the conditions.
