Fazoli’s - Review
Oh, the things I do for this website!
I knew better before I ordered the pizza and still I tried it. Even with that in mind, I was still disappointed. So disappointed that it is hardly worth writing this review. Still, sacrifices have been made and their songs need to be sung.
Fazoli’s 9″ pepperoni is a square, flat concoction. The crust is more reminiscent of a tube of dough found in the grocer’s refrigerated section, laughingly labelled “pizza dough.” The “pizza” had been prepared in less than 10 minutes, which presumably was done by cooking in a toaster oven. Browned on the bottom, but still soft… Oh why bother finishing this review? There’s no Purple Heart for taking a pizza wound to the stomach.
Fazoli’s
National Chain, locations all over the place
Cost: $0.06 per square inch
Conclusion: Not recommended
Follow-up February 2007: After this review, Fazoli’s changed their pizza completely. They started serving “pizza by the slice” and the slices are more traditional. They’ll be reviewed later.
